Short Biography
Dr Beno Otjacques is deputy scientific director of the Informatics, Systems and Collaboration (ISC) Department of the Public Research Centre Gabriel Lippmann, located in Luxembourg. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Namur (Belgium), a Master of Engineering from the University of Louvain (Belgium), a complementary Master in Law and Management of Information Technologies from the University of Namur, a complementary Master in Innovation Management from the Faculty of Engineering of Mons (Belgium) and a Research Master in Information Systems applied to Architecture, Engineering and Construction from the University of Nancy (France).

He started his professional career at the research division of Electrabel, the Belgian most important electrical company. In 1996, he moved to the Public Research Centre Gabriel Lippmann in the Computer Science Department. He evolved from researcher to project manager (2000) and deputy scientific director (since 2002). His current research domains are: Human-Computer Interaction, Information Visualization, Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Information Systems Modeling. He currently manages several research and R&D projects.
