Short Biography
Dr. Victor Pomponiu is currently a Post doctoral fellow at Imaging Research Center of University of Pittsburgh working with Prof. J. Pu and Prof. B. Zheng on issues related to biomedical image analysis such as: improvement of the output of the computerized mass detection (localization) schemes, fusion methods for digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) 3D images, texture analysis of lung CT images and computer-aided detection of autoimmune diseases.
During his Ph.D. at University of Torino, Italy, he was conducting extensive research in the area image of multimedia security and secrete communication by employing various image processing and machine learning techniques.
Furthermore, he was exposed to statistical clustering and outliers detection techniques, and parallel programming methods during his research internship at National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo, Japan.
