Short Biography
Dr. Cococcioni obtained the Laurea degree and the PhD degree in
computer engineering at the University of Pisa in 2000 and 2004,
respectively. He worked as post-doc at the same univesity,
department of Information Engineering, where he currently is an
assistant professor. In 2010 and 2011 he has been a visiting scientist
at the NATO STO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation,
La Spezia, Italy. Since 2012 he is a Senior member of IEEE.
Is is a mamber of the IEEE Computational Intelligence and the IEEE Ocean Engineering societies, other than an ACM member and a member of the GRIPR, the Italian Research Group for Pattern Recognition.
He has co-authored more than sixty contributions appeared on international journals an conferences.
His interests include Computational Intelligence, Pattern Recognition,
Fuzzy Systems, Multiobjective Evolutionary Optimization, Decision Support Systems and Ocean Engineering.
