Short Biography
Carson Leung received his Ph.D. from The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Currently, he is a Professor in Department of Computer Science at University of Manitoba, Canada. His research interests include the areas of databases, data mining, big data, data science, and computational aspects of social networks. His works have been published in refereed international journals and conferences such as ACM Transactions on Database Systems, Social Network Analysis and Mining, IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE), IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM), Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD), and International Conference on Computational Aspects of Social Networks (CASoN). In the past few years, he has served as an organizing committee member of ACM SIGMOD 2008, IEEE/ACM ASONAM 2014, ACM CIKM 2018, IEEE DSAA 2020, and IEEE ICDM 2020, as well as a PC member of numerous international conferences including ACM KDD and ECML/PKDD.
