Research Experience

Dr. N. Jeyakumar has about 13 years of experience in the field of Computational Biology/Bioinformatics. Before joining as a Reader in Bioinformatics at Dept of Bioinformatics, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore my past assignments includes Research Assistant, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (1995-1997) and Lecturer, Centre for Excellence in Bioinformatics, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai (1997-2007)

• Data Mining and Machine Learning
• Text Mining of Biomedical Literature
• Development of Databases related microbial pathogens
• Computational Biology (Genomics/Proteomics to find possible pathways and drug targets related to specific pathogens)
