Short Biography |
Prof. K.D. Verma,
an eminent Academician, Researcher and Administrator dedicated for the
development of Material Science (Nano Science & Technology) and Computer Science & Information Technology has an outstanding educational record throughout; He always stood first division throughout his educational carrier and is a Gold Medalist student of his time, he is recipient of national scholarship (one of the most prestigious scholarships in country) during his education.
Dr. Verma rose to the post of assistant professor (University lecturer of that time) in University Campus in the age of 21 years in 1989, maybe the youngest assistant professor in his area. He completed B.Sc. & M. Sc. with First Division in 1986 & 1988 respectively, M. Phil. with high first division in 1989, M. Tech. with high first division and awarded Ph.D. also (He Earned his All Degrees from Accredited Universities with high grade by NAAC-an Apex body of Govt. of India). He has more than 27 years of teaching & research experience. During this period Dr. Verma has also been served in the various administrative capacities. He has served as Dean of Students Welfare, Chief Proctor, Convener U.G.C. Cell, Games Superintendent and several other important capacities. He has more than 100 research papers in his credit; He has published several papers in the journals having very high IMPACT FACTOR. He has published research papers with several reputed publishing houses including ELSEVIER, SPRINGER, IOP, IACS, AIP, ASP, Taylor & Francis and many more. He is Editor-in-Chief, Editor, Member of Editorial Board, and Reviewer of several referred International journals of high repute. He is Founder Head/ Director of Material Science Research Laboratory (MSRL). He has research collaborations with various International research groups and actively contributing in the research activities. He is Life Member/ senior member/ member of various International Associations like LM-NTSI, SM-IACSIT, American Nano Society (ANS) and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery-CSTA).
Dr. Verma guided several research scholars for their Ph.D. and M. Tech. thesis in the fields of Physics, Material Science, Nano-Technology and Computer Science & Engineering. Currently he is guiding a number of Ph. D. research scholars for their Ph.D. thesis. He has completed several Research projects as Principal Investigator sponsored by various Government agencies of international repute. Dr. Verma has already ORGANIZED A CONFERENCE as CONVENER and going to organize another INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE in his area of expertise shortly. He has been invited from several institutions and International conferences of high repute to deliver Keynote Speech/expert lecturers/ invited expert talks and invited speech in diverse fields. Presently he is working as chairman & head, department of physics at S.V. College of Post Graduate studies and research (A Premier College of Post Graduate Studies & Research Established in 1947, Funded by U.G.C. under 2f & 12(B) and Accredited with high grade by NAAC- an apex body of Government of India), Aligarh, India. Currently he is engaged in handling the research projects sponsored by various Government Agencies, Guiding Ph.D. Research Scholars, in the emerging fields of Soft computing, Material Science, Nano-Technology and Computer Science & Engineering like DMS, Nano thin films, Nano Oxide Materials, Nano Computing, Nano Sensors wireless & Nano Communication Networks, Mobile Computing, Optimized memory devices, Nano computers, Network and Information Security. |
