Short Biography
Hana Rezankova received her Master and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Economics, Prague, Czech Republic. From 2008, she is a full professor of statistics. She supervises Ph.D. students in the area of multivariate data analysis. She is a vice-head of the Department of Statistics and Probability at the University of Economics, a member of the Scientific Board at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, and a member of the Board of the Czech Statistical Society. Before, she was a vice-dean in Charge of Student Study Programmes at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics at the University of Economics, Prague, and a member of the Board of Directors of the European Region Section of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC) which is a section of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). Besides, the university teacher, she is also a member of the research team at the Laboratory for Intelligent Systems, Prague (LISP) at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics. She is an author/co-author of several books and book chapters, over 50 journal and 60 conference papers. Her main interests are data mining, data compression, clustering and categorical data analysis.
