Short Biography |
I am a Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Researcher at the Research Centre on Information Technologies (CITIUS) at the University of Santiago de Compostela. I have experience as the main researcher in projects involving soft computing and web technologies application to a numer of industrial realms, in the topics of estimation of production efforts, scheduling, planning and automated building of data summaries. I was involved in 36 R+D+innovation activities (10 as the main researcher, 9 of them research contracts with companies), most of them research contracts and projects in modelling of intelligent systems with uncertainty and machine learning and their applications in planning/scheduling, industrial processes, mobile robotics, intelligent monitoring, information retrieval and digital contents. At the research level, I was autor/coautor of more than 130 peer-reviewed papers in a number of areas of modelling and application of intelligent systems, such as machine learning, knowledge-based systems with uncertainty or semantics enriched workflows. |
