Short Biography

Dr. Umesh Chandra Pati obtained his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College (now National Institute of Technology), Rourkela, Odisha, India. He received both M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Instrumentation and Image Processing respectively from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Presently, he is serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India. His current areas of interest are Image Processing, Signal Processing, Computer Vision and Instrumentation. He has authored/edited two books and published more than 40 research papers in international as well as national journals and conference proceedings. He has served as referee in different international journals and conferences.  Dr. Pati has visited countries like USA, Italy, Austria and Singapore in connection with research collaboration and paper presentation. He is a member of IEEE and life member of various professional bodies like The Indian Society for Technical Education, Instrument Society of India and The Institution of Engineers (India).
