Ferda Nur Alpaslan received her B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering in 1985 and 1988 respectively, both from the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey. She received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 1990 from University of North Texas (UNT) in the USA. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at METU. She is also the founder and director of the Intelligent Systems Lab in the same department.
Her current research interests include intelligent systems, knowledge-based systems, semantic-web technologies, intelligent content and semantics, technology-enhanced learning, automated reasoning, and machine learning. She has worked on several research projects supported by Turkish Scientific and Research Council (TUBITAK), American National Science Foundation (NSF), and Funded by French Embassy in Turkey. She is the co-author of many journal papaers, book chapters, and international conference papers. |
