Priyanka Sinha obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, in Computer Science and Engineering and Master of Science degree from Auburn University, in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She was awarded the Institute Merit Award from 2000-2002 and was a Vodafone fellow from 2005-2006. She has been a Graduate Teaching Assistant, a Graduate Research Assistant and a Graduate Fellow. She is a researcher at Innovation Lab, Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Kolkata. She has worked on the SmartEdge 800 at Redback Networks, An Ericsson Company, and on interactive TV at ITAAS India Private Limited. She has two IEEE publications till date and filed for one patent in the area of ubiquity. Her research interests are in the broad area of computer systems, networking, security, wireless and ubiquity.
