Dr David Hong Jer Lang received the BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree from University of Nottingham in 2005 and a PhD degree from Monash University in 2010. He is previously a lecturer with the School of Information Technology in Monash University and currently a senior lecturer and senior research faculty research track with the School of Computing and Information Technology in Taylor’s University.

His research interests is in Data Mining, Information Retrieval, Search Engines, Deep Web, and Ontology. Besides his research and teaching work, Dr David Hong is active in social activities as well. He actively holds position in student association and serves as a volunteer worker for Street Ministry feeding program for KL Wesley Church and also serves as a volunteer for Taylor’s Education Group World Food Day. He is also active in many leisure activities, such as playing table tennis, badminton, tennis, cycling, skiing, chess, and watching movies.
