Short Biography

               Lavika Goel is a research scholar in the Department of Computer Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, India. She worked at Oracle India Private Ltd. for six months through campus recruitment and then left it to pursue research in the field of Nature Inspired Intelligence, her interest area. Securing a GATE percentile of 98.7%, she did her M.E. (Master of Engineering with Distinction) in Computer Technology & Applications from Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), Delhi and B-Tech (with Honours) in Computer Science & Engineering from JSS Academy of Technical Education, U.P. Technical University and has always been among the top rank-holders of the university in these courses.

Currently working on a project to develop a novel optimization algorithm based on the natural phenomenon of plate tectonics (2011-till date) at DTRL Lab, DRDO  under the guidance of  Dr. V.K. Panchal, Associate Director & Scientist –‘G’ , DTRL Lab and the Head of Department, Prof. Daya Gupta, Computer Technology & Applications, Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi. Other projects undertaken are:

 

·         Design of an extended model of the original biogeography based optimization technique proposed by Dan Simon based on dynamic HSI function (August 2011- September 2011).

·         Design of a Two-phase Recommender System for Intelligent Battlefield Preparation (October, 2011-December 2011).

·         Development of “Hybrid Bio-Inspired Techniques for land cover feature extraction: A Remote Sensing Perspective”.

  • Project on Network Security & Cryptography i.e.  generating   digital   signature   using   elliptic   curve      cryptography & authentication on the receiver side  in java as a the B.Tech   final year project.
  • Project in Visual c++ to develop the Face Recognition Algorithm using the Eigen Spaces Approach.       
  • Project in artificial intelligence to develop the space impact game.
  • Project to develop a scientific calculator in graphics.
