Short Biography
Antonio Navarro was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1973. He received the Mathematics (Computer Science specialty) and the Ph.D. degree (Summa cum Laude) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), Madrid, Spain, in 1996 and 2002, respectively. Since 1996, Navarro works with the Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligent Department of UCM. Presently, he serves as an Associate Professor and Consultant for UCM Virtual Campus. He is mainly interested in software engineering, web engineering, and e-learning: design notations, design patterns, software architectures, platform integration, model-driven development, service-oriented architectures (SOA), e-learning platforms, and learning objects. He has been part of different programs committees of international conferences. At present, he is leading a coordinated project about advanced architectures for virtual campuses.
