Short Biography

Dr. Saurabh Bhardwaj is an Associate Professor in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department in Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. At present he is working as a visiting researcher at The Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech University, USA. Here his research theme is to develop the Neuro-inspired Deep Learning Algorithms and Systems with Their Applications in Biomedical Research.

He has received the Ph.D. degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi, India in 2013 and the M.E. degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2008.

Dr. Bhardwaj has about 19 years of teaching and research experience. The research interests of Dr. Saurabh Bhardwaj (Assoc. Prof., TIET) are focused on development and improvement of statistical and machine learning based solutions for the problems which involves recognition, classification, modelling and information retrieval
