10. Explore ML Workshop (Intermediate)

Abstract: Explore ML, an initiative of Google Developer Student Club NMAMIT
conducted the intermediate track workshop on Machine Learning on 16th
January 2020 (Thursday) at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte. The resource
person for the workshop was the facilitator of Explore ML Mr. Pranam R
Betrabet, who covered various important topics like Extended Machine Learning,
how to frame a real life scenario using Machine Learning and how to choose an
efficient model required to solve the required problem and some Machine
Learning scenarios used in the industry. A hands-on session was taken on how
to import and use TensorFlow. Students were taught how to build and train
image classifier model and a text classifier model. Google co-labs was used to
code and build the text classifier and image classifier model in which
TensorFlow software is already in built. All the students have gained some basic
experience and awareness about the practical implementation of Machine
Learning. A total of 42 students have attended the intermediate track on 16th
January 2020 from all branches like ISE, CSE and E&C.

11. ICT Academy?s New India Learnathon 2020 ? May, June 2020

Abstract: ICT Academy, New Delhi organized a nationwide Learnathon program
for college students during May, June 2020. Nearly 1 Lakh students pan India
registered for the event. 227 students from NMAMIT participated in the event.
Students had an opportunity to earn Digital Certificates and Digital Badges on
Latest Technologies from Industries like Cisco, Automation Anywhere, AWS,
MathWorks, VMWare etc. Dr. Balasubramani R, Professor in ISE was the event
coordinator.

robots to learn new skills through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine
Learning (ML). Through free and open training, UiPath brings digital era skills to
millions of people around the world, improving business productivity and
efficiency, employee engagement, and customer experience. UiPath Academic
Alliance program works with leading Universities, Governments, and other
public or private educational organizations, developing the global RPA
knowledge ecosystem and shaping the future of work through an inclusive
community ranging from young students to experienced professionals. GUVI in
association with UiPath Academic Alliance hosted an exclusive Skill-addition
competition. The competition involves a healthier way to add a new skill (RPA)
for every student in each Institution of the Country. The reward for this
Institutional registration is free access to the Certified course -"Step into Robotic
Process Automation (RPA)" for each student. The competition started on 30th
May and ended on 4th June 2020. 446 students from NMAMIT participated in
the competition and 273 students completed the certification. Dr.

Abstract: NMAM Institute of Technology joined Oracle Academy as Institutional
Member on 14th June 2020. 64 students from CS, IS and MCA joined the Oracle
Academy. They will learn a variety of courses like Java, Oracle, Web
Technologies, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning etc. in the
Academy and get certified by Oracle. All the members have free access to Oracle
Cloud. Dr. Balasubramani R, Professor in ISE is the Oracle Academy Instructor.

14. Meeting with Google on Google Cloud Readiness Program ? 19th June 2020

Abstract: A meeting with Mr. Mathang Seshagiri from Google was organized on
19th June 2020 for Google Cloud Readiness Program students of NMAMIT, Nitte.
50+ students participated in the online meeting. Mr. Mathang Seshagiri
explained in detail about the Google Cloud Readiness Program and how to
prepare for Google Certified Associate Cloud Engineer exam. Students were
advised to complete Architecting with Google Compute Engine Specialization in
Coursera, complete 5 Qwiklabs quests and then appear for ACE exam. Dr.
Balasubramani R, Google Cloud Educator @ NMAMIT hosted the event.
