Short Biography |
Dr. Onur Dogan is an assistant professor at Izmir
Bakircay University. He graduated from the Sakarya University with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Industrial Engineering in 2010 and received the Master’s Degree and
Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering from the Istanbul Technical
University in 2013 and 2019, respectively. He studied on intelligent decision
support system, lean manufacturing and quality approaches such as QFD, FMEA or
DOE during the master thesis. Process mining is the primary focus his Ph.D.
study. He is one of the first academicians who have a Ph.D. title on process
mining in Turkey. During his doctorate study, he had been at Universitat
Politecnica de Valencia as a visitor researcher for a 12-month research
project. He is one of the members of a newly established research center (Research
Center for Data Analytics and Spatial Data Modeling). Dr. Dogan is project
coordinator at one national projects on process mining and researcher at two
projects on smart campus analytics and big data analytics. His projects are
supported by supported by Turkish Scientific and Research Council (TUBITAK) and
Izmir Development Agency. His current research areas are process mining,
machine learning, (fuzzy) data mining, fuzzy decision making. |
