| Prof. Dr. Ernesto Cuadros-Vargas received his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Sao Paulo-Brazil (2004). As part of his PhD studies Prof. Cuadros-Vargas has worked in common projects with the Carnegie Mellon University-USA with Prof. Christos Faloutsos in 2001 and Technischen Universitat Berlin-Germany with Prof. Dr. Klaus Obermayer in 2002. He is a founder member of Peruvian Computer Society (SPC)/a> and he was president during 2001-2007. He is also representant of Peru at the Latinamerican Conference in Informatics (CLEI).. He is member of the IEEE-Educational Activities Board (2006-2008). Professor Cuadros-Vargas has been invited as speaker for international conferences in Brazil, Chile, USA, Canada, Japan, and China among other. His main research areas are Higher Education in Computing Programs, Similarity Information Retrieval, Access Methods and Neural Networks. |
