Keqin began to study as a doctoral candidate in big data at School of Business Administration, Southwest University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China, in 2016. He was graduated of British Columbia Institute of Technology, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, with Forest Technician Certificate in 2006. In July 2001, he obtained the master of business administration from the School of Business Administration of Sichuan University in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. In 1991, he obtained the diploma of information system engineering in the Department of System Science, Shihezi Agricultural College.

Since November 2017, he has been the Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Software Engineering of Chengdu Neusoft University in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. From October 2014 to October 2017, he served as Deputy Director of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chengdu Neusoft University. He also served as General Manager of chengdu branch of Neusoft Group's training division. He immigrated to Canada in 2005 and is currently a foreign expert at Chengdu Neusoft University. At present, his research field is data mining and big data management.
