| Short Biography |
| Dr. Shubhalaxmi Kher is working as Assistant professor of Electrical Engineering at Arkansas State University. She was a post doctoral researcher for over 4 years at Iowa State University before joining Arkansas State University in Fall 2008. She served in various positions like Associate Professor, Professor, and Chair of Information technology at SGSITS, Indore, India and has over 21 years of academic experience. She has to her credit over 60 research papers in International refereed conferences and journals. She chaired sessions in International conferences like, ICAUTO 95 (India), SICE 98, 99, 2000 (Japan), IEEE-ACM 2003 (India), IPCCC'06 Phoenix, USA, ICETET 2008, Nagpur, (India). Her research interests are Wireless sensor networks, Fuzzy logic, Granular Computing, Bioinformatics, and Distributed algorithms. Dr. Kher is a Fellow of IETE, India since 2000, Senior member IEEE, USA (IEEE) since 2000, Member of Computer Society of India (CSI), Life member of Institute of Engineers, India (IE) since 1987, Life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) since 1987, member of WIE. She is actively involved in IEEE activities and served as Treasurer of IEEE Central Iowa Section 2008, as Chair of -IEEE MP, India Subsection for 2002, 2003, & 2004. She is listed in Marquis Who's who in Engineering 1998/1999. Dr. Kher is a Reviewer for many conferences and journals. This includes Computer society of India Journal, (2000-2004), Journal of Intelligent and fuzzy Systems, USA 2005, Journal of Microprocessors and Microsystems, Elsevier 2005, IEEE Transactions on Systems Cybernetics and Man , IEEE Transactions on Networking , IJSSST journal , Asia modeling Symposium AMS 2009, European Modeling Symposium, 2009, UKSim 2009, CICSyN 2009 conferences. She is serving the advisory committee for international conference ICWET, 2010, Mumbai, India She delievered a Key note speech at the international conference ICETET 2008. Recently, she served as visiting professor at DAIICT, Gandhinagar, and also at KIET, Ghaziabad, India for summer 2009. |
