Short Biography

Mr. Shouvik Chakraborty is a Lecturer in Computer Science & Technology, In-charge, Machine Intelligence and Computer Vision Laboratory, Women's Polytechnic, Chandernagore. He is a former lecturer in Computer Science & Technology, and Ex-In-charge, Robotics and Innovation Laboratory, and the Former Internal Coordinator of the Burdwan Regional Office, Directorate of Vocational Education and Training at M.B.C. Institute of Engineering & Technology (Government of West Bengal), Purba Bardhaman, Sadhanpur. He is holding a Ph.D.  in Computer Science and Engineering from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Kalyani, West Bengal, India. He received his M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university, in 2016. He received his B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Hooghly Engineering & Technology College under the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly known as the West Bengal University of Technology), West Bengal, India in 2014. He received AICTE National Fellowship during his Master of Technology. He secured a First class First position in the Master of Technology. He has cleared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE, 10 times), UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC NET, LS 5 times, LS & JRF 2 times), and West Bengal State Eligibility Test (SET). He is an associate member of the Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors (Universal Association of Computer and Electronics Engineers) (USA). He is a member of the IEEE, International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT, Singapore), International Association of Engineers (IAENG, Hong Kong), International Computer Science and Engineering Society (ICSES), International Economics Development Research Center (IEDRC, Hong Kong), Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs, USA), The Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications (SDIWC), and Science & Engineering Institute (SCIEI). He is a life member of the Institute of Scholars (InSc), India.

His research interests include Soft and Evolutionary Computing, Digital Image Processing, Bio-medical Image Analysis, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Optimization Techniques, and Image Encryption. He has published one edited book, several book chapters, and journal articles, and published and presented many research papers at different reputed international and national conferences. He is one of the editorial review board members of IJCVIP, ASTESJ, and IJSVR and a reviewer of many reputed international journals like IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence, Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier), Neural Processing Letters (Springer), Informatics in Medicine Unlocked (Elsevier), IJAMC (IGI Global), Journal of Experimental & Theoretical Artificial Intelligence (Taylor & Francis), etc.
