Short Biography

Kadri Sylejmani is a professor assistant at University of Prishtina, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering since June 2015. Before that, he worked as a university assistant for 9 years in the same institution. He did his PhD thesis at Vienna University of Technology, Faculty of Informatics. His main areas of expertise include algorithm design and development for hard optimization problems, as well as lecturing courses in various subjects within the ICT domain, such as programming languages, algorithms and data structures, nature inspired algorithms, e-commerce and legal, ethical and social issues in ICT. He has been working in two research projects, namely tourist tour planning & social network analysis and text-to-speech synthesis - the case of the Albanian language. Further, he has lectured at a couple of other universities, including a guest lecture at Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Gjovik. In addition, he has participated in various other professional projects that have been sponsored either by local authorities or foreign sponsors, such as EU or USA.
