Short Biography

Snezhana G. Gocheva-Ilieva graduated in mathematics and obtained her M.Sc. degree in computational mathematics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Sofia, Bulgaria. She completed her Ph.D. degree in physics and mathematics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1981. In 206 she defended her Doctor of Sciences degree in University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

She is currently working as a full professor of applied mathematics at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Modeling at University of Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski”. She has published over 125 articles in international journals, 2 monographs, 12 books and has presented many research papers at international conferences. Her research interests include various fields, including data mining, predictive data mining techniques, applied statistics and mathematical modeling in physics, engineering, environmental science.
