Dr. Justin Varghese received M.Tech. and PhD degree in Information Technology - Computer science and Engineering  from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, India. He received the Best Paper Award at IEEE International Conference on Advanced Computing (ADCOM2006), NITK, Surathkal, India. He has published 55 research   papers in refereed International journals / Proceedings / Books including the IEEE, IET, Elsevier, and Springer Journals. He served as Resource Person, Session chair, organizing and editorial committee member of various National/ international Conferences / Journals. He also serves as Review Committee Member of many journals including IET Image Processing, IEEE Transactions of Fuzzy Systems and Elsevier Signal Processing Journals.  Presently he is a Co-investigator of a major research project funded by Defense Research & Development Organization, India and is working as Associate Professor at College of Computer Science, King Khalid University, ABHA, KSA. Also he is guiding four Ph.D. Scholars. His research interests include signal and Image Processing, Visual Perception, mathematical morphology, fuzzy logic and pattern recognition. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
