Short Biography |
Ahmed Elmesiry received his B.S. (Hons) Degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Computer Science, Mansoura University, M.S. Degree in Computer Science from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport under partnership with United States - Egypt Joint Science and Technology program, and Ph.D. Degree in Computing - Information Security and Assurance from Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland. He visited the Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications and Secure Systems at Monash University, Australia from May 2014 to June 2015. Prior to joining Malmö University, He was a Research Fellow at the Swedish Research Cluster on the Internet of Things. His research interests include Security, Cryptography, Penetration Testing, and Digital Forensics, with the current emphases on Applied Cryptography and Malware Analysis & Detection, Identifying Security Vulnerabilities, Privacy Enhancing Technologies, and Cyber-Physical System Security. His research aims to build the Next Generation of Networked Services based on new models for handling data, for computing, and for interaction, with formal guarantees of Trust, Privacy, and Security, where users can understand and trust these services. His work has broadly combined theoretical principles to ensure sound security guarantees coupled with practical techniques to ensure scalability and performance. |
