Short Biography
Swarup Roy is an Assistant Professor in Information Technology at North-Eastern Hill University (A Central University of India), Shillong, India. He received his M.Tech. in Information Technology and PhD (Comp. Sc. & Engg.) in the area of data mining and gene expression data analysis from Tezpur University, Tezpur, India. He has published a number of papers in leading international journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings and authored a book. He is a recipient of Best Doctoral Thesis Award from IIT-Roorkee during Intl. conf. SocProS2013 and University Gold Medal for securing first position in M.Tech. He also received Overseas Research Associatship from DBT, Govt. Of India in 2015 to conduct research in foreign laboratory and funding from DST-SERB to visit SPAIN in 2012 to present his research paper.
