Short Biography
Rafiuddin Syam is lecturer of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Hasanuddin since 1995. Daily as head of the Laboratory of Control Engineering and Robotics Department of Engineering, University of Hasanuddin. He was born in Tahuna on 1972. He is active for teaching and research in the field of control and robotics since 2000. He is a graduate of the Masters program Division of Production Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Saga University, Japan in 2002. Subsequently, he completed a doctoral degree in the field control and Robotics in 2005 at the same university. He is active in guiding students with "Jenbacher" Robot Community Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Hasanuddin, Makassar. Research fields mobile robot, robot arm, and a mobile manipulator robot flying into the focus of the researcher, in addition to the soft-computing applications for mobile and manipulator robots, such as adaptive control systems and advanced control systems such as Fuzzy Logic, genetic algorithms, expert systems and neural networks etc.
