Crina Grosan received her PhD degree in 2005 from Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania where she is currently working as a lecturer. Her research interests are in the area of machine learning with a focus on soft computing techniques and their applications to various practical domains (economy, medicine, engineering, etc). She has also paid a special attention to the field of optimization by developing several stochastic approaches for various kinds of problems: with a single objective, with multiple objectives, multimodal.
Dr. Grosan is actively involved in the scientific community by taking part as a PC member in various well known conferences, as editorial board member or as reviewer for important publications such as World Congress on Computational Intelligence (WCCI), Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO), Intelligent Systems Design and Applications (ISDA), Hybrid Intelligent Systems (HIS) as well as IEEE Transactions, Evolutionary Computation Journal, European Journal of Operational Research, Machine Learning and many more. She has published over 100 papers in peer reviewed International conferences and Journals or as contributed chapters in books published by reputed publishers. She as also co-authored two books and has edited 4 books published by Springer Verlag, Germany. |
