Short Biography

Dr. Badri Narayan Subudhi is an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, at National Institute of Technology Goa since July 2014. He received B. E degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, India, in 2004 and the M. Tech in Electronics and System Communication from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India, in 2008. He was a Research Scholar at the Machine Intelligence Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India with financial support from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) scheme, where he has carried his PhD work. He was nominated as ISCA young scientist award for the year 2013. He has received the Young scientist travel award from both DST and CSIR in the year 2011. He received the prestigious Bose-Ramagnosi fellowship from Govt. of India and Govt. of Italy to carry out the research at University of Trento, Italy, where he was a visiting scientist during Aug. 2010 to Feb 2011. His research interests include Image and Video Analysis, Medical Image Analysis, Pattern Recognition, and Remotely Sensed Image Analysis.
