Defeng Wu received his BE in Automatic Control, PhD in Control Theory

and Control Engineering in 2005 and 2010, respectively both from Dalian Maritime University,China. From 2008 to 2009, he was a visiting PhD student at School of System Engineering (SSE), University of Reading, UK. In 2011, he received his first SSE internal competition for Best Research Output (1st place). From March 2011 to August 2015, he had been a Lecturer at School of Marine Engineering , Jimei University, Xiamen, China. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at Jimei University.He also acts as a visiting scholar at Illinois Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2016. His research interests include computational intelligence and its applications in engineering. He serves as the editorial member in The Scientific World Journal, American Journal of Computation Communication and Control, American Journal of Computer Science and Information Engineering,American Journal of Energy and Power Engineering, International Journal of Intelligent Information Processing,International Journal of Engineering and Industries.
