Dr. Kakandikar Ganesh Marotrao has completed degree in Production

Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 1999 and Post Graduation with specialization in CAD/CAM in 2005 and Ph.D. in 2014 from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. He has total 15 years of teaching experience. He is recipient of college topper award in final year. He has been awarded with state level second prize at DIPEX 2013 for academic research in association with industry. He has worked in various institutions like Gramin Polytechnic, Nanded, Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering & Technology, Nanded and Vidya Pratishthan's College of Engineering, Baramati. He has taught subjects like Engineering Graphics I & II, Machine Drawing & Computer Graphics, Geometric Modeling, CAD/CAM & Automation as well as Product Design & Development to UG and Computer Aided Design, Integrated Product Design & Development, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Optimization Techniques to PG with specialization in CADME. His areas of interest are Sheet Metal Forming, Optimization Techniques, Genetic Algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization, Particle Swarm Optimization and Management of Technology. He has published twenty papers in national conferences, four in international conferences, five in international journals and six in national journals. His papers at international level have been referred by other researchers. He has reviewed one international conference of American Society of Mechanical Engineering. He is life member and actively involved in the activities of Indian Society for Technical Education [ISTE], Indian Society of Ergonomics [ISE], International Association of Engineers [IAENG] and International Society for Structural & Multidisciplinary Optimization [ISSMO], Sheet Metal Forming Research Association [SMFRA] and The Institution of Engineering & Technology [IET]. He has attended twenty seven technical training programs and workshops. He is University of Pune recognized PG Teacher. He has visited Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland. He has received International Travel grants from Science & Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India for attending international conference as young scientist at Zurich, Switzerland. He has authored book entitled “Evolutionary Optimization of Sheet Metal Forming: Cylindrical Automotive Components”, published by Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany ISBN-978-3-659-15968-8. on 06th December 2012. He has organized six seminars/conferences/workshops. He has worked as expert faculty for PG at various institutes. Presently he is working as Associate Professor and Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering.
