Short Biography
Katazyna Wegrzyn_Wolskaher received M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Silesian Technical University of Gliwice, Poland and a further M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Val d'Essonne, France. She received her Ph.D. degree (2001) in Automatics, Real Time Computing and Computer Science from the Ecole Superieur des Mines de Paris, France. Katarzyna Wegrzyn-Wolska is Associate Professor at the LRIT Laboratory at ESIGETEL, France. She was, for several years, head of the Computer and Network Department at ESIGETEL, and now she is a head of an SITR team attached to the LRIT research laboratory at ESIGETEL.

Katarzyna has been involved in the organization of several international conferences. She was the General Chair of the Atlantic Web Intelligence Conference AWIC2007 , is now actively involved as Programme Chair in the International Conference on Computational Aspects of Social Networks (CASoN). Katarzyna is also a member of Programme Committees in several international conferences as well as an expert for the group Information Society Technologies (IST) active in the European Community. In 2008, she was a plenary speaker on New Challenges of Search Engines at the international conference Znalosti in Bratislava, Slovakia. Her main interests are Information Retrieval, Search Engines, Web Based Support Systems and Web Intelligence. She is a Member of IEEE (USA).
